তাঁর টুইটে লেখা হয়েছে, “আমাদের প্রিয় সুবিন গার্গের অকাল প্রয়াণে আমি গভীরভাবে শোকাহত। অসম শুধু একটি কণ্ঠস্বরই নয়, তার হৃদস্পন্দনও হারাল। সুবিন দা শুধু গায়ক ছিলেন না, তিনি অসম ও দেশের গর্ব ছিলেন, যার গানে আমাদের সংস্কৃতি, আমাদের আবেগ এবং আমাদের আত্মা পৃথিবীর প্রতিটি কোণে পৌঁছে গিয়েছে।”
