Truth Of Bengal : তারিখটি ছিল ১৯৯৯ সালের ২৪ শে ডিসেম্বর। বাকি দিনের মতো স্বাভাবিকভাবেই শুরু হয়ছিল দিনটি। কিন্তু হঠাত্ই এমনই এক অধ্যায়ের সাক্ষী হয়ে থাকে ভারতবাসী যা এই তারিখটিকে ইতিহাসের কালো পাতায় যোগ করে দেয়। সেই অধ্যায়টি হল কান্দাহার হাইজ্যাক। বাস্তবের সেই গল্পকেই এবার সিরিজ আকারে তুলে ধরেছেন পরিচালক অনুভব সিনহা। সদ্যই নেটফ্লিক্সে মুক্তি পেয়েছে ‘IC 814: দ্য কান্দাহার হাইজ্যাক’।

সম্প্রতি নেটফ্লিক্সে মুক্তিপ্রাপ্ত এই সিরিজ মুক্তির পরেই বিতর্কে জড়িয়েছে। ছয় পর্বের এই সিরিজে ১৯৯৯ সালে ভারতীয় এয়ারলাইন্সের একটি ফ্লাইটে সন্ত্রাসীরা যে হাইজ্যাক করেন তার যন্ত্রণাদায়ক বর্ণনা করা হয়েছে। সিরিজটি গড়ে উঠেছে সৃঞ্জয় চৌধুরী ও ক্যাপ্টেন দেবী শরণের লেখা ‘ফ্লাইট ইন্টু ফিয়ার: দ্য ক্যাপ্টেন’স স্টোরি’ বই গল্প থেকে। তাকে চিত্রনাট্য আকারে তুলে ধরেছেন তৃশান্ত শ্রীবাস্তব ও সাংবাদিক আদ্রিয়ান লেভি। হাইজ্যাক হওয়া ওই ফ্লাইটের ক্যাপ্টেন ছিলেন দেবী শরণ। নিজের সেই বাস্তব অভিজ্ঞতার কথাই বইয়ে লিপিবদ্ধ করেছেন তিনি। সিরিজে তাঁর চরিত্রে অভিনয় করেছেন বিজয় বর্মা। বিজয় বর্মা ছাড়াও বেশ নজরকাড়া ছিলেন নাসিরউদ্দিন শাহ, পঙ্কজ কাপুর, অরবিন্দ স্বামী, দিয়া মির্জা, মনোজ পাহওয়া, কুমুদ মিশ্র, আদিত্য শ্রীবাস্তব, পত্রলেখা পাল, অমৃতা পুরী, দিব্যেন্দু ভট্টাচার্য, কণওয়ালজিৎ সিং, পূজা গোর, রাজিব ঠাকুর, অনুপম ত্রিপাঠি, যশপাল শর্মা, সুশান্ত সিং-এর মতো অভিনেতাও।
The code names used by the hijackers of the IC-814 plane were: Bhola, Shankar, Doctor, Burger, Chief.
The “chief” was Ibrahim Ather, brother of Jaish founder Masood Azhar.

তবে ছবিটি নিয়ে নেটিজেনদের মধ্যে বেশ বিতর্কও দেখা দিয়েছে। বিতর্কের একটি উল্লেখযোগ্য কারণ হিসেবে বলা হচ্ছে সিরিজে সন্ত্রাসীদের নাম পরিবর্তন। প্রকৃতপক্ষে ছিনতাইকারীদের নাম ছিল ইব্রাহিম আতহার, শহীদ আখতার সাঈদ, সানি, আহমদ কাজী, জহুর মিস্ত্রি ও শাকির। তবে সিরিজে এই নামগুলো পরিবর্তন করে ভোলা, শঙ্কর, ডাক্তার, বার্গার এবং চিফ নামে রাখা হয়েছিল। এগুলো সন্ত্রাসীদের দ্বারা ব্যবহৃত কোড নাম ছিল। নেটিজেনরা বলেন এই ধরনের চিত্রায়ন বিভ্রান্তিকর হতে পারে এবং ছিনতাইয়ের তীব্রতা এবং IC 814-এর যাত্রী ও ক্রুদের দ্বারা সহ্য করা দুর্ভোগ সম্পর্কে ভুল বার্তা পাঠাতে পারে।
